My primary concern with all those IC-based phonostages is that they are thin like hell. The audio freaks like it, I do not. I never heard the DACT CT-100 and can not speculate. I have seen this one:

How do I hate DIY? Let me count the ways...Is there some reason you cannot make through-holes to facilitate soldering leads to your copper sheet? Use a hot iron (800 F) and plenty of aggressive flux to pre-tin the holes... Stand parts on short leads...
