I wonder if anyone recognizes the drivers of the Cessaro Horn Acoustics? I thought that I know all of them but looking at Cessaro’s compression driver I have no idea what it is and I feel that my ego severally hurts. The pictures on the Cessaro site ...

Hm, I like the Cessaro thinking a few years back and I love it now. A very good move with this “Liszt” loudspeakers, even I am against the idiotic tendency to grand to the audio element the composers names. Take a look what Cessaro did. A tweeter, p...

(Note: I've neither seen nor heard these speakers)
Cessaro ALPHA:
TAD TD-4001 2" driver on tractrix horn with 56cm bell (approximately 250Hz). TAD claims response from 600-20KHz. Given that the midbass is essentially a direct radiator (theref...

Jim Hi, my name is Keith Cooper, I own a pair of Alpha's had them here in London for about a month now, they are superb ! I heard some Trio's which initially stirred my interest in horn loudspeakers, I know Ralph is looking for a US distributor...

Yes first order passive .Drop him an email, http://www.cessaro-horn-acoustics.com/kontakt.html...

There's no plasma tweeter on the Cessaro. The tweeter is the TAD ET-703. The HK owner has a gold-coloured horn for the tweeter, but there's no plasma driver. I'm pretty sure the horn on the Lansche plasma tweeter is a good bit larger than the horn on...

hi allin germany started a new company selling wood tractrix horn speakers :here the link :http://www.cessaro-horn-acoustics.com/angelo...

It is interesting… complaining about the fact that the “promising to be claver” Cessaro Horn using the TAD drivers (still it is not completely known as they said that that MD driver cost €4000) I asked myself: what else they might use? Really, ...

I’m glad you talk about geometry, but to respond to this I have to refer to other brands. I will only talk about facts and hope it’s not offending anybody. My basic point is: the flare rate has to be coherent right from the entrance of phase plugs. In...

Very interesting company and their GAMMA model looks very promising.
http://www.cessaro-horn-acoustics.com/gamma.html
It is essentially the very same Macondo idea - as I told when you go for 4-5 ways horn loaded installation then there are not a lo...

A few days ago in the thread “Who Builds Horns”: http://www.goodsoundclub.com/TreeItem.aspx?postID=3226#3226 there were mentioned the Cessaro Horn Acoustics Company from Germany. The company has an interesting model Gamma: http://www.cessaro-hor...

wow.thanks for comments.La Grande Castine will not be as expensive as Cessaro Gamma.i am sorry but i cannot answer to all questions, for several reasons you can understand.we have tested many drivers since the early prototype of La Grande Castine. BM...

Some folks from Australian audio site nominated my Macondo as the ugliest loudspeaker. I would disagree but my objective in this thread is not arguing about tastes but to talk a bit about reference points of judgments. It is irrelevant to me per...

I have long followed posts in this forum and wondered what the ultimate horn system sounds like. I have always liked certain attributes about the horn systems I have heard (Trios, Cessaro, Acapella, Altec, the usual suspects) but never to the point ...

I found the Silbatone electronics was somewhere between the neutral sounding electronics Cessaro used and the super-warm electronics at the Anima room. About going away from tractrix: The Anima horn with the little paper cone driver looked more like ...

I have thought many times about trying to have an Audio System like Macondo Horn Loudspeaker System and if I could get good result then I will demo it in munich high end show.this is a big project for me because I am not expert and I have no DIY expe...

Romy Hi, Raplh uses a 300b push pull, but the power supplies are massive, parts alone 15K Euros, each channel has a separate supply, the pre-amp again two massive power supplies , he prefers to use eight of the horn loaded bass bins, although I...
I think they could could make the sound more pleasant with an overkill of second harmonic distortion. But for people who prefer that kind of sound a relax-horn like Anima would be better anyway. No real solution. Maybe they should...

compression drivers are the way to go as far as i am concerned but obviously performance depends on the horn lens.
my beef with ET-703 is that i don't understand its horn or whatever it is. if not an explana...

After introduction of Omega last year Cessaro looks like come up with a new model Beethoven that they promise demo at the Munich show in May of this year.
Leaving aside the idiotic tendency to call audio products after the name o...

Hello Romy!Cessaro had severe resonance problems in their room, so I didn´t stay long here. What I noticed in the short time (maybe too short for a qualified judgement) was no stabiltiy broblems but less musical than the 300B last year. Hard to descr...

Koh,if time alignment is critical (in my world it is), the sources of the sound (the driver diaphragms) need to be aligned. A very long exponential horn and a short tractrix are not „impossible“ to align, but what reflective surfaces ftom the exp. ho...

For the first time My friend attended munich show 2023 and he listened to all of those systems. He did not like the sound of those systems and even super expensive systems like wilson Benesch Ypsilon were awful .He told me what is happening in this in...
the horn looks suspicious.
my issue with it, though, is not the discontinuity in the curvature but rather overall dimensions.
it looks too wide to be a slot. this is a product that is supposed to work at 20+ kh...

Romy Hi ,yes the Gamma does use the 703 ( slightly modified ) with a milled horn, the Cessaro site will be back up tomorrow problem with German Telecom!...

Cessaro once again didn't manage to find electronics that compensate the cold TAD sound, so the Silbaton WE demonstration one or two rooms away was quite a contrast. Without being addicted to that kind of sound and without having too much listening e...

Coops, I less care about the attacks on me, I know that I am a pH-indicator of Moronity among audio freaks. So, if some specific idiots out there are not happy about me then… it is good for me. The higher we climb in mountains the stronger wind and l...
