I think lower chassis voltage does not give better sound in all audio systems.I do not why but Some audio systems have better sound with higher chassis voltage . I lost my sound for more than six month only for adjusting ac polarity for lower chassis...

Thanks Romy. On the AC polarity do you mean playing with the player/amp polarity or with the PP one? I always try to have all devices to be in phase.Denis...

This may have been mentioned already. . . if so, it escaped me. But here's the thing: Each component has its own AC chassis leakage characteristic. This can be measured, and lining every component up by the same polarity produces less noise & hum...
Folks, in case you care to learn the truth of the matter, AC Polarity is the subject of Chapter 7.5, pages 63-66. Its connection to acoustic polarity is established there too. That Romy should so boldly assert otherwise, l...

"You mistakably took roundness but it was nothing but confidence and luck of my interest to contaminate the thread with another introduction of acoustic absolute phase." Folks, I invite you to look at the record. I introduced AC plug polarity and whe...
Thanks for the lecture on material I've been closely acquainted with for thirty years. But please don't try to dodge the issue, viz., that you erroneously said AC plug polarity has "nothing to do with The Wood Effect". The...
Maybe that electrian was right? What do you think they do in recording studios? One thing is for sure, they don't just use one leg of power, especially since many will require both legs of power.
After reading this thread I can't help but wonder whether y'all are familiar with the concept of AC polarity. The topic has been addressed in numerous locations (most thoroughly in Bound for Sound), but perhaps not recently. In short, which way the p...

But thanks for the accolade. The AC plug polarity situation differs from sonic acoustic polarity, although it *is* treated in my book entitled The Wood Effect. ...

Audio equipment can be enormously sensitive to AC polarity. I do not mean correct "hot" and "neutral" in the outlet, rather which way it enters your electronics. (I and others have tried for decades to alert the world.) Worst, there is no standard an...
Possibly that you are right but it might be something else. My last year unit did inject back to power line a LOT of dirt. I just measured my new fixed unit and I was VERY surprised the it out back to the wall significantly...

"It is way beyond the sophomoric solutions like... AC polarity."From that remark one may deduce that the writer has already tried this solution and found it wanting, or has not tried it but dismisses it out of hand, or doesn't know what he's talking...

One of the things that I picked up in this thread is the fact that if you use 2 PSUs in series, the sound degrades. This is typical of one unit generating common mode noise and this adds to that produced by the second unit.Even if you run them in para...

Here is another advantage of multisampling and DSET in particularly. There are many moments in amp that in one or another degree affects transients. The capacitive coupling for instance works fine but as long the amp sits in class A1. As soon amp hit ...

This is very interesting, Anthony. I do think that absolute polarity has own role to play. Also, do check the DC that might be sent out of your preamps, certainly with Placette and with your 10Y before the transformer. Chas it with disconnected Milq ...
