That is the source of my constant bitching for years: what the CD players do not read the dist with WAV. If you have a raw 16/44 file that still might sound OK then burring the file on CD kills everything. So, why do not make the CD players and transports to read the WAV files data? It is so simple to do! I would LOVE to see my CEC to read the discs with WAV files. I love the 24/96 but I hate the DVD-A disks. So what do not make the high resolution machines to read the row 24/96 WAV files? Is the industry afraid that that they would lose a monopoly for disk media?
Anyhow, take a look at this 16 bit machine – Denon DN-C640 Network CD Player - it read anything: CD, CD-DA, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, everything in 16/44.

We need that type of machine, made up to the High-End audio standard, that would be able to read all possible raw media disks and up to 182kHz… Why shouldn’t it be? The Cat
