Alfred Schnittke’s Gogol Suite by Scherzo Quartet

Below is the performance of my favorite Alfred Schnittke’s peace - the “Gogol Suit”. It is played by “off the wall” Scherzo Quartet

…and the adaptation and the play itself are very good. Unfortunately the sound is horrible and it requires knowing the Gogol Suite very well to able to recognize what the Scherzo Quartet is trying to do. Otherwise it might be perceived as noise… Anyhow, if they record the peace in properly balance sound I would be the very first who would run to buy it. Listening the performances like this I myself is willing to buy a pair of Neumann and help those guys with recordings…
