The answer is: the beautiful Kirsten Flagstad singes Wagner. I have to admit that I am not completely in peace with complete Wagner operas but I have dozens of Flagstad records and I LOVE to listen her. Sometime I do it for days. Those Wagnerian sopranos are very different animals from other annoying sopranos and Kirsten Flagstad sits at unreachable pedestal among them.
