Higher sensitivity of loudspeaker leads to higher dynamic range but most of audio people mistakably feel that it should lead to ability of loudspeaker to play loud. Tom Brennan, from the AA sewers, mentioning the advantaged of Klipsch La Scala stated that they “get real loud.” This tendency of loudspeaker to play loud is unmistakable evidence that the loudspeaker is not good. They can not play soft and it is not only La Scala’s problem but a typical problem of many acoustic systems die to the problems with drivers, crossovers, positioning of the speakers and many other factors.

The key in here is NOT to look for a speaker that “plays loud” but to look for a speaker with maximums sensitivity but the one that does NOT play loud. The softer loudspeaker is capable to play, still maintaining its highest sensitivity, the better loudspeaker is.
