The best audio system: my secrets are partially out.

If you thoughtfully read my site then here and there (particularly in the articles about Lamm ML2) you read my “absurd” comments that the best performing system is the system that do best Sound while the power amplifiers not even plugged in the power outlets and the speakers are not even connected. It might sound very cryptic or perhaps stupid for most of the audio people but I see a lot of extremely loaded perspective in this comment. In the beginning of the 2000s, when I was gullible and more stupid in my sensitivity of audio herd I pitched very gently this perception to the Morons at Audio Asylum. Fortunately for the integrity (and partially Masonic secrecy) of this perspective, the dirt who runs Audio Asylum vandalized all those threads of mine (the AA’s pigs call it “trolling”)… Still, the perception has been leaving with me for years, I have applied it to many area of art and I do not necessary had have need to collaborate the perception with others audio people – frankly speaking I do not know a lot of audio people who “get” audio at that level.

So, how big was my surprise when today I went to one Russian Audio site, the thread where people uploaded their fantasies about their hypothetical “dream systems” and suddenly I read something that I never ever expected form audio persons: one guy literally named the concept of a playback that I for many-many year I have been considering as an absolute Mecca of sound reproduction.  (I do audio since 8 years old). The guy was making joke most likely, and the joke it was the way how he was accepted there, however I am not kidding and am dead serious about the concept. You, the reader, might discover a LOT if you begin to “get” High-End Audio this way…

From today Clark Johnson’s email: Composing music may be the loneliest of artistic pursuits. It is a laborious traversal of an imaginary landscape. Emerging from the process is an art work in code, which other musicians must be persuaded to unravel. Mainstream audiences often lag behind the intellectual classes in appreciating the more adventurous composers, but sometimes they are quicker to perceive the value of music that the politicians of style fail to comprehend.”

Anyhow, before demonstrating to you the best audio system I ever heard here is a little story…

It was 1986 and I was 18 years old. My friends invited me to the one of the many events of those days: a renown in Odessa but “resistant” critic Vladimiskiy brought in the city a copy of new Georgi Danelia’s film “Kin-Dza-Dza”

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091341/

It was screened one single time in a none-commercial movies theater and at that time it had an effect of a cultural astonishment. However, in my mind it also injected in me the one of the best conceptual high end audio experiences. There are many extraordinary extremely high-end audio moments in that film. The one where the guys play for a woman their violin at the first part at 53 min 30 sec.

I think what is going on in this film with Audio (conceptually) is the most evolved relationship between a listener and playback one can imagine. I juts wish more audio freaks were able to “get” it… Well, I have little hope  (as I have show this film to quite a number of audio people but they NEVER “get” the audio subtext of it) but at least at my site it will not be deleted as “trolling” (I still do not know what trolling means).

BTW, if you are interested about “Kin-Dza-Dza” then the whole 2 parts of the film are available on line:

Be careful though – it is very much not a Hollywood film…. and, it is a very few of the Russian films that I can watch and that I happily own….
