How Piazzolla should sound?

I was listening the NPR program with “Gray Charitable Trust Piano Trio” played the celebrated Astor Piazzolla’ La “Muerte de Angel”:

...and was very surprised. Usually NPR music directors have quite an integrity and I have no idea why they allowed THAT Piazzolla to be broadcasted. It was absolutely the most horrible Piazzolla I ever heard…
