Things to look out for when purchasing a Micro Seiki RX5000
Hello,
I am in the process of looking for a Micro Seiki Rx5000 to buy. I am relatively new to turntables and to Micro Seiki. I would appreciate any current and past RX5000 owners provide a perspective on the list of things/issues to look out for when buying a used Rx5000. I'm trying to ensure that I am getting an all-original and well functioning unit.
Thank you.

Nothing
I did not see any attempts to modify this turntable. There is truly nothing's there to modify it is simple like at door knob. There is also nothing to look into it. All of them are 40:50 years old and most likely all of them going to have the bottom bowl bearing with indented plate. You will need change oil and if the bottom plate is too used up you just flip it upside down. In the worst case you can make a new plate in a any local machine shop for very little money.
