I do not think it will work. The horn will extend some MF response but only if it in open air, where I think the volume or ringing is not an issue. However as the phone in a pocket, the location when the volume of ringing would be nice to boost, the mouth of the horn will be damped by pocket and this it will create huge throat reactance, effectively making the ring softer not louder.
