My first audio show. Hmm..
Well the whole write up i just wrote disappeared. In one sense that isn't all that different from my experience of the Festival Son et Image here in Montreal yesterday. i'll be quick this time in the hopes that my post will get through. bett-er rooms: sumiko etal kef reference/chord Airtight Lowther i'd like to say Aurum but it didn't really say anything to me. Cayin/silverline Brinkman/wilson crap rooms: most, didn't remember many names one of the kef rooms started by playing some organ stuff, the hotel didn't do well with anybody's attempt at organ. jadis was playing some shit sampler with some heavy organ on amazing grace, made me claustrophobic. Avantgarde duo, Acoustic Life turntable or somesuch, heard the Plastic Ono Band. i didn't get to hear a lot of the stuff though. i finished off the day with a Macallan 12yr single malt. That was very good. 12bucks for a glass isn't though. I'm glad i'd bought a bottle of Springbank when i was in Scotland at the end of february. i learned that a lot of stuff out there seems misguided. that it's hard to really listen to something when the ambient noise level is high, and that well, the hifi industry can do without me for sure, though there were a couple folks who were quite personable. A lot of the rest spoke in terms of "well these are great for a 4000dolar speaker they don't compare to a 10000 dollar speaker" good luck in life. and i'll post some pics if you like.

What did you mean disappeare?
What do you mean disappeared, Dominic, is it disappeared from your machine or from my site? I am not aware that posts might disappear in here and I know of none of technical issuers that might lead to it. Can you elaborate on the problem? Rgs, Romy

Well since we've covered than in offsite ....
....emails we can get back to the subject. I was really shocked at how annoying some of the setups were. The biggest culprits were the guys pedling <3" drivers with what must be in the region of 500w behind. Which can make a bit of sense in a really good well respected setup but man, cranking that ow! Not that that is surprising.
