A visitor of my site pointed out that the guys at AudioHeritage site have heard this new DD66000 speaker.

I do not read generally the AudioHeritage site as I found that the guys in there more precipitated with devotion to labels and to brands then with interest to Sound. Therefore I personally care less also about their subjective assessment of the DD66000’s sound. Frankly speaking juts looking at what JBL did in there is undoubtedly indicates how the DD66000’s will sounds. However, the AudioHeritage in this thread has a lot of information for whoever cares, including the JBL’s new 476Be driver.
I never have seen or hear this 476Be driver and I have no idea what it is. It has 1.5” hole, the identical to Vitavox S2 and I would be able to stick it right into my horn if someone will send me one 476Be to try. I have concerns thought. I red what that JBL and Don McRitchie Said about the 476Be driver and I have “issues” what that they say. I do not see any needs for MF driver to go all the way up; in fact it would be bad and unnecessary in 300Hz channel. They “can't say enough” good things about the 476Be driver but all good that they say have to do with “details”. Ironically the “details” is not where I have problem with MF drivers for horns. To get more details is too simple and too primitive to take it seriously. The “more details” are good ONLY in reference to few “other thing” that Don McRitchie and JBL “forget” to mention. Also, neither Don McRitchie nor JBL ever mention anything about “Absolute tone” of the 476Be driver. It is very sad as this would be the very first thing that I would care…
