I was looking at my recent observation that smaller anode makes better HF sound; better intimacy of sound and better articulation of detains.
Then I was looking at my feeling that tube with large high-voltage anode has that famous “elephant sound”
I am not saying that size is the only thing that counts in anode but if it is a factor than why do not try to make anode with composite sizes. For instance it is common to have some tubes with one or two anodes. How about to make one anode of a normal full size and another is a fraction of the normal size. I think this composite plate size Triode might be an interesting idea, particularly if to make the anode of the different size from different materials or to make them to have a different texture.
