Another rushed post, thinking about Romy's "miles of wire" remark, germane to the giant Duelund caps.
I have thought about this sort of stuff for some time, and I have come to the point where I tend to think of all parts as partly obstructive (sorry...). They either have "miles of wire" or they offer some kind of internal resistance that is essentially the same as miles of wire in terms of offering an "obstacle" to a current/signal.
Maybe a resistor is a "shorter path", but it certainly "chokes" the current/signal down to work its magic, no less than the "miles of wire" in an inductor, cap, etc.
Whether or not Duelund actually does something special to facilitate the current/signal and/or "damp" spurrious, parasitical electrical behavior, EMF, etc., it seems to me that it might be a good idea to do this in many cases where it is not generally done, or it is generally done poorly. Further, I think this approach, taken alone, may be part of what makes a given power regenerator/conditioner "work".
As soon as I can get to it, I will be pushing the di-electric grease thing past rational boundries, just to chart the effects of any "spurious signal" control.
Meantime, I will keep my eyes peeled for parts that seem to facilitate the current/signal they are fed more than they impede and/or add to it, apart from their "pure" electrical function.
Too bad about the fricking prices on the Duelunds, all right. But I assure you all that I am only influenced by price to the extent that I may have trouble acquiring what I cannot afford, and I also strongly resist what I consider to be a rip-off price.
