I was listening the wonderful programs from Canada (what else to do at work?)

and one moment stroked me. In the commentaries about Enrico Caruso’s 1.000.000 sold records in 1907 the host made a very interesting remarks. He state that there was none-classical music before recording industry took over music distribution and he proposed that a birth of pop-music itself is a derivative of recording mass marketing.

I understand how starched this concept is but I very much like. I never seen it this way but since it was pointed out to me I would enthusiastically embrace this view
