I do not know how interesting it is from technological or sonic perspective but the enthusiasm and perseverance of this guy defiantly deserves applauds. Claude Perrier in his 70 makes home direct heated triodes, how many people like him are out there?
His site is in French, has video of the prodaction and the links to his book are very interesting as well.

If I was as industry player then I would kidnap Claude, put him in a cage and then show off him for money making his tube during those stupid Hi-Fi trade shows. The funny is that do not mind to pay myself watching at the “ceremony”.
