It has nothing to do with Brucker or anything else. This is a
pure subject of elementary logic that looks void by typical audio “journalists”.
The designer looks and sounds completely reasonable and willing to talk without
creating BS stories around herself and declaring that her “secrets” were delegated
to her by a dead pharaoh in her astral visions. The company produces permanent magnet drivers
and electromagnetic drivers. Ok, then they produce a combination of permanent magnet
drivers and electromagnetic on the same drivers. It is a perfectly fine direction,
and I think it is the only company that does it. The only question that should
be asked, in my view, is what specific sonic problem she would like to achieve or
overcome by introducing a combination of magnets. The only way to handle this
question is to provide a critique of the permanent magnets they use and describe
what sonic and expressive problem she recognizes, do the same for electromagnet
versions, and then, explain how the version with combined magnets in her view deals
or rectify the problem and accomplish the sound she envisions. Anything else is
just marketing BS and bad journalism. I have seen a few other her interviews and
I like her a lot. I would not mind talking to her myself. I do not think we would
have a lot in common in terms of multichannel vs “full range” drivers, but the
subject of magnets is very interesting.>>
