I have no idea how a “typical
first order speaker” should sound. The Vandersteen insisting of
using first order is a very good thing. I am a very strong proponent of using first
orders everywhere. I am not familiar with Vandersteen speakers and
I will not have interest in them as they are good 25 dB less sensitive than an acoustic
system should be but what Mr. Vandersteen is talking about I found
