Robin, I guess I got off on the wrong foot when I phrased the first paragraph as I did. I meant to agree with Herman about "dissimilar" drivers, but I also meant to continue thereafter with other thoughts on the initial topic, musical vs. audio pitch, rather than bolstering a case for similar drivers.
Sure, great play carries the day, musically, and this might be well appreciated despite a bad system. And more power to any listener who has virtually unlimited choices of sources of musical pleasure.
