I would like to separate High End audio from normal consumption items due clearly that Audio is for repoducing music, which is an art form. High End watches or High end cars are for useless things like keeping time or moving yourself from one place to another.

Now I would admit that a great car is is some way a sculpture, and a nice watch can be a piece of art by itself.

The beauty of High end audio, is that not only does the gear is used to repoduce and art form, if designed properly in itself it can become a sculpture, per say.

Now, in my view even a horrid system, whos sound is so good that it transports you to the magic of music and gets you closer to God, is high end. If it is also a work of art by itself: that is better.

For comparison, it would be like having a beautiful bronze sculpture of a ballet dancer, that would also get on its toes and do the white swan and the black swan with great technical skills!
