I come across to an interesting thread at I think British site:

The thread discusses the definition of “HIGH-END Audio”. I am not sure that I agree with all of it. For sure the trims and definitions in audio were hackneyed by the brainless authors and trade whores who used definitions as bumper stickers of their sales campaigns. Still what is your residual definition of HIGH-END Audio?
