I know, I know, you all need from each other are the building plans and building ideas. You all need to know are the list of the drivers, list of horns types, and list of the recommendation how to drive the channels. But I would like to note that with even selection of “winning” ideas of drivers, amps, cables, crossovers and rest of electronics the playback is still a pile of dead devises that might or might not play music purposefully.

What surprises me is that people investing a lot of efforts into all possible equipment, regardless of topology and technology end up with accidental sound that is mostly derivative from the topology and technology but they very seldom if ever bring their playback to the state of being expressive tool. What in my estimation happens is that people do not get that proper piling up of horns, tubes, powers surplus and front end electronics is not assurance of any Sound. Sound is the result of efforts, targeted efforts, the efforts to shape Sound in the very specific and the only possible way that would reflect the playback owner objective and interests.

This is what I call the Language of Audio and this is the most interesting things that exists in audio. The Language of Audio is a set of efforts, actions, judgments, realizations and many other things that make playback more or less communicative and the Sound the playback produces more or less fertile. Ironically the building plans, drivers, horns, tubes, amps, DACs and TTs have very little to do with Language of Audio. The Language of Audio is something that equalizes playbacks, making all playbacks of all audio owners who are fluent in the Language of Audio to sound the same. I know: the “sound the same” sounds like an insult for many audio people but the point is that “same” is not the Sound but the level of expressivity. Make this to count in your building plans, design ideas and in your targeted efforts.
