What else to do at work besides to bite off the residue of the glue form my hands and to listing music live from different parts of the world.

Anyhow, I got today an email:

“…. the BBC are running an experiment in Higher Res (for them) playback during this last week of the proms concerts.

here's a link

here's a discussion about it which the BBC spokeperson/engineer participates & fine tunes the broadcast quality in response to listeners.

An interesting experiment…”

After listing for a half of the day I suddenly came across a pearl.  BBC Radio 3 broadcasted live-to-tape play of a harpsichord sonata Grand Gigue by Johann Wilhelm Hässler from last year’s City of London Festival. It was played (brilliantly) by Mahan Esfahani

The peace is wonderful, in a way reminds me the best works of Antonio Soler.  Even Hässler composed in the end of the 18 century but it feel incredible contemporary. I was trying to find recordings of the Grand Gigue but was not successful. If anyone knows any interesting recordings of the work than let me know.
