I was stressing a couple days ago in Reed’s threads a point that the effective mass of tonearms itself is irrelevant for this type of cartridges.  There is absolutely no sense to change tonearm just because you would like to have “slightly higher mass” – add mass to headshell and it is it. if you are in Micro tables that have no tonearms length limitation then you might explore the 12” arms. With other equal conditions 12” arms sound way more superior to 9” arms. In my view Shelter 901 is a needle that deserves 12” arm… The 9”-10” arms are for TT with fix plinth. If you were stupid to get Micro then you need to have at least one proper (means longer) arm. I wish I was so smart at beginning then I would have all 4 SME-3012 on my own TT.
