I think what PS Audio did is just a first generation of machines like this and the will evolve. Paul claims that his transport will read WAV files, but it is just 2G out of 4.7G DVD. Will it read the .w64 files? How about the AIFF and AU files? How about the FLAC and WMA files?  How about the RIFF and Broadcast Wave Format (BWF). The point is that  a 24 bit transport shall read anything. I hate to read data from my DAW and I would like to convert my best FM recording to raw files on DVD. I love to have a dist in my head, to writhe notes on the box and so on… Sure it shall also to sound comparable to what my DAW does.
