Through my continued research, I have derived that the WE 555W variants led up to the development of the RCA MI-1443. The 1443 is a completely *psychophysiologically unhealthy driver* to listen to primarily due to the rough phaseplug design and construction, secondarily due to the incorrectly short distance of the cone from the phaseplug, thirdly due to the sloppily wound fieldcoil windings, fourthly due to poor quality metallurgy.

I believe that the COMMUNITY M4 designed by Bruce Howze was based upon his knowledge of the RCA MI-1443, but more directly his knowledge of the Harvey Fletcher 20" diameter bass compression driver.

I believe that Steven F. Schell's COGENT DS-1428 and DS-1448 were not based upon the design of the RCA MI-1443, but rather upon the COMMUNITY M4.

I’d really like you to stop doing this. There are plenty of websites where you can apply your logic and where it might be appreciated. In the context of this site, it’s completely irrelevant. Have you even heard an RCA driver? A congen driver? A Unircity driver? Are you able to objectively compare their sonic characteristics and their impact within a properly powered playback system, or are you just clicking around and regurgitating random audio topics? The information you’re providing is not just irrelevant—it’s incorrect. I’m very familiar with all of these drivers. I’ve heard them extensively, and I can assure you that everything you wrote above has no real meaning. Please don’t do this anymore. Unless you can methodologically and objectively correlate clearly defined listening outcomes with clearly defined technical design choices, find another place to express your thoughts. Please make a post and stop posting at my site the context you are currently posting
