“Artore audio is non commercial site with informations about music replay.”

That was good!

“Behind Hyperion lies a concept, which is allmost unique in the horn world: time accuracy.”

No shit!

“Digital Management provides drivers for frequency allocation without any passive or active crossover …and for the time aligned radiating of all involved drivers.”

Well...

Anyhow, the ways how the guy uses the delays is not so bad – he uses the deals in his DAC. The bad part that he uses crossover on digital level and it is defeat all purposes. Since he use only digital source then in order to make the things “right” he have to have 4 DACs with delay in each of DAC. ONLY then the Ralf Stegmueller’s delay idea would meet my approval. Digital can delay, it can’t filter ….

My only targeted listening experience with DSP has been bad, including "modern" "reinforced" concert halls.

I later found out from one new-ish concert hall sound guy that they always immediately "digitize" the sound specifically in order to "process" it, according to the pre-determined "sound-shaping" criteria of the "audio engineer" who worked with the architect to design the hall in the first place.

Do hi-fi people still start with analog sources that are fed into DSP pods or is most of the "signal" used in forward-thinking stuff assumed to be digital from end to end?

I would surely like to hear DSP "delay", etc. done right once before I die, but by now I suspect that there are certain problems that inhere with writing digital slopes, curves, etc.

These horns look to be manageable in terms of size.  Why go digital when real time asppears to be an easy enough option in this case?

Has it come to the point where it's a "given" that DSP is SOTA?

Best regards,
Paul S

Since I learned today quite a bit about the Ralf’s horns I do not particularly have a lot of interest about the selection of his drivers but the stupid habit of the “derivers anonymity” is something that I do not like. I do understand when commercial speakers do not disclose the drivers. I have my attitude against it , still it is understandable and reasonable. However, when people make own speakers, post information about them on Web and do not mention the drivers then I feel kind of strange? For the people who have experience with drivers, the ways to use them and the ways to drive them the naming of the driver selection would say a LOT about what was in the head of the person who built the playback.  I think that non-commercial people who do not disclose the drivers and the ways how the used/drive need to learn about the contribution of the drivers in horn-loaded playback.  I do not talk about the Mr. Stegmueller specifically, he looks like just begin his journey but I use his case as an elastration for the tendency the I do not approve.

Hi Romy,

i`m impressed about so much inteligence.
It seems you have eat the wisdom with spoons.. (german idiom)
But that does not change some facts.
if you would have been more friendly it would have been no issue to give more informations about drivers and other things.
On Angelo`s sites you can find some...

Sonofzen,

I do not need to be friendlier. Since it was pointed out to me a few days back that you suck your “horn wisdom” from that retard Angelo I pretty much lost any slightest interests to what you do or say. I am not kidding. The only association with that idiot that I might permit is to run that dirt over with a big and heavy truck. You are juts at beginning of your education, not about the horns but about the cretins that infested audio internet, I wish you good luck in your journey. Please, spare me from me paying attention to what you do.
